National Museum of Civil War Medicine
Founded in 1993, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine details the city’s role as a medical outpost during the war. In this museum, you’ll learn about the conditions of medical personnel and the innovations in medicine during the war that help patients today. Some exhibits include life in an Army camp, troop evacuations, and hospital ward functions.
You may visit the museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday or from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. You need to enter the museum by 4:15 p.m. to see the galleries.
